Year 1: health pruning only (damaged, crossing parts).
From year 2: generally cut back ½–⅔ of the shoot length; 0.5–1 cm above an outward-facing bud, at 30–45°.
In season: regularly remove spent blooms to encourage the next flush.

Established plant (open ground): 10–15 L per watering, once a week; in heatwaves twice a week.
Pots: every 2–4 days 2–5 L, increase frequency in heatwaves; do not let water stand in the saucer.
