Bred in Hungary in 1994 by Márk Gergely from the cross ‘Bonica’ × ‘Bolyaiak’. Initial distributor PharmaRosa Ltd.; breeding company and exact introduction or registration years are not documented.

Bushy, arching shrub reaching about 170–240 cm in height with a 120–190 cm spread. Moderately dense, mid-green glossy foliage and moderate prickliness give it a substantial but not overpowering garden presence.
