Origin and breeding
Bred by David C. H. Austin in the United Kingdom in 1990 from ‘Charles Austin’ × unknown seedling. Introduced after 1992 by David Austin Roses Ltd. as part of the English Rose Collection.
Growth and structure
Bushy, upright shrub reaching about 100–150 cm high and 70–120 cm wide. Moderately dense, matt dark green foliage, moderately thorny stems. Forms a rounded, balanced bush under normal garden care.
