Origin and breeding
Raised by W. E. “Bill” Bossom in the United Kingdom in 1995 from ‘Silver Jubilee’ × ‘Paprika’. Registered in 1999 and introduced after 1999 through European garden rose channels.
Growth and structure
Upright bush 75–105 cm tall, 50–70 cm spread. Moderately dense canopy with glossy, mid-green foliage. Stems are only sparsely thorned, making handling and light pruning more comfortable.
Flower morphology
Large, very double, cup-shaped blooms with more than 40 petals. Flowers are produced in clusters typical of floribunda roses, giving a generous display across the bush in each flowering wave.
Colour and phenology
Vivid, uniform mid-red blooms with slightly lighter outer petals. Colour holds very well, softening to cherry red with a delicate pink edge as flowers age, maintaining visual impact over the flowering period.
