Bred in the United Kingdom by Joseph Hardwick Pemberton, introduced in 1924. Parentage: Ophelia (hybrid tea, 1912) × an unknown Pemberton seedling. Initial distribution by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in Australia.
