Origin and breeding
Bred by Auguste Nonin & Fils in France from ‘Rödhätte’ × ‘Richmond’. Introduced in France in 1918 and in Australia in 1923 via Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd., then widely used as a bedding floribunda.

Received a Certificat de Mérite at the renowned Bagatelle rose trials in Paris in 1918, confirming ornamental value and performance among contemporary garden roses of its time.
