Bred by Louis Lens in Belgium, breeding year 1982. Introduced and first distributed by Lens Roses in 1984; breeder code LENmacra registered the same year, now offered as an own-root garden rose.

Recognised at the Austrian Rose Trial in Baden bei Wien in 1991 with a 5th prize, indicating decorative and garden merit in European conditions for long-term ornamental bedding use.
