Floribunda shrub rose from the Les Centenaires de Lourdes collection. Registered cultivar name DELblan, trade name CLOS FLEURI BLANC – white bedding floribunda rose – Delbard.
Origin and breeding
Bred by Georges Delbard in France in 1988, introduced after 2010 and registered in 2010. Parentage not published. Initially distributed by Georges Delbard SA as a premium bedding floribunda.
Growth and structure
Bushy, upright shrub reaching about 130–170 cm high and 50–70 cm wide. Moderately thorny stems, with relatively sparse, dark green, glossy foliage giving an open but tidy outline in beds and borders.
Flower morphology
Large, double, cup-shaped flowers with 26–39 petals, produced in clusters as a typical floribunda. Repeat flowering with a similarly abundant second flush, giving a long decorative season in gardens.
Colour and phenology
Buds open from pale greenish-white to pure snow-white blooms, later softening to pearly white with slight creamy edges. Colour remains bright and does not yellow, even in full sun, retaining a clean look.
