Origin and breeding
Bred by Alain Antoine Meilland in France (2001). Parentage: (‘Centenaire de Lourdes’ × ‘Duke of Windsor’) × ‘Regatta’. Introduced by Meilland International in 2006 and Star Roses & Plants in 2007.
Growth and structure
Erect, bushy hybrid tea with dense, slightly glossy mid-green foliage and moderate prickliness. Height about 130–170 cm, spread 85–115 cm, forming a substantial, upright shrub in garden conditions.
Flower morphology
Very double, rosette-style blooms with over 40 petals, borne mainly singly on stems. Extra-large flower size, suitable for cutting. Remontant habit with an abundant second flush after the main early-summer display.
Colour and phenology
Warm salmon-toned mid-pink overall. Buds pale salmon outside, deeper pink inside. Opens peach-pink outside with mid-pink centre, lightening to pale cream-pink or soft salmon tones as blooms age, depending on weather.
