Groundcover rose from the Pixie® collection, registered as BOZgaudpix and marketed as GAUDY™ Pixie®. Belongs to the ground cover commercial group, suited to bush, edging and container use.
Origin and breeding
Bred by Biljana Božanić Tanjga for Pheno Geno Roses in Serbia and the Netherlands. Introduced around 2020 as part of a modern compact groundcover line aimed at decorative, small-scale plantings.
Growth and structure
Low, spreading habit reaching about 40–75 cm high and 45–80 cm wide. Forms a dense, bushy mound with glossy dark green foliage and moderate prickles, ideal for edging or small-area groundcover.
Flower morphology
Medium-sized, very double cup-shaped blooms with more than 40 petals each. Produced in clusters, with repeated flowering; a generous second flush extends the decorative season in beds and containers.
Colour and phenology
Pink and white striped flowers with marbled effect; buds show mid-pink with ivory streaks. As blooms open, pink fades to pastel and white bands become creamy, while the bicolour pattern stays visible.
Fragrance and aroma
Has a delicately rose-scented character, but the fragrance is very faint and often barely noticeable in the garden. Best chosen for its visual impact rather than for strong perfume effects.
Rose hip characteristics
