Origin and breeding
Bred by L. Wilhelm Hinner in Germany from ‘Frau Karl Druschki’ × ‘Franz Deegen’. Introduced in 1909 by Philipp Geduldig. Historic, unregistered variety, now widely grown as a garden floribunda.
Growth and structure
Compact, bushy shrub 75–110 cm tall and 75–105 cm wide. Dense, slightly glossy dark green foliage and only slight prickliness. Moderate self-cleaning, occasional deadheading keeps the plant neat and flowering.
Flower morphology
Medium-sized clusters of rosette-shaped, very double blooms with 40+ petals. Remontant habit with a particularly abundant second flush. Flowers borne in clusters on sturdy stems, suitable for beds and borders.
