Hansestadt Lübeck® is a floribunda bed rose marketed as a Border rose by Kordes; ARS exhibition name Lübeck; unregistered cultivar with no separate registered code name recorded.
Origin and breeding
Bred by Reimer Kordes at W. Kordes’ Söhne, Germany; parentage unknown. Introduced in 1960 via Kordes and Samuel McGredy & Son in Northern Ireland, representing classic mid-twentieth-century floribunda breeding.
Growth and structure
Medium, upright shrub reaching about 100–140 cm in height and 65–95 cm spread. Moderately dense, mid-green, slightly glossy foliage on moderately thorny shoots; forms a tidy, bushy framework over time.
