Floribunda bedding rose from the Bed rose group; registered as MEItiver. Trade name LOVELY GREEN™ – Lovely Green is also the ARS exhibition name. Part of the Bedding rose collection for garden and florist use.
Origin and breeding
Bred by Alain Meilland, Meilland International, France. Introduced and registered in 2005, with French breeding work completed the same year. Parentage is officially unknown and not published.
Growth and structure
Bushy, erect habit with slightly spreading tips, reaching about 70–90 cm in height and 60–80 cm in spread. Foliage is moderately dense, mid‑green with a slightly glossy surface, and stems are moderately thorny.
Flower morphology
Medium-sized, 1.5–2.75 inch globular pompon blooms held in clusters. Very full flowers with more than 40 petals. Remontant flowering with a strong second flush, though spent blooms benefit from manual deadheading.
Colour and phenology
Greenish-white flowers; white outer petals with a pale green inner zone, the green tone strongest towards the centre and backs of petals. Colour lightens only moderately in strong sun, retaining a fresh appearance over time.

Classed as an unscented rose with no noticeable fragrance in normal garden conditions. Primarily grown for its distinctive greenish-white colour effect and flower form rather than for scent or culinary or cosmetic uses.
