Bred by John Scarman in Germany, circa 1999, with parentage unknown. Developed by Landhaus Ettenbühl and Scarman Roses, first distributed by Scarman Roses from 1999 as a distinctive gallica shrub.
Growth and structure
Tall, upright shrub to about 160–240 cm high and 90–150 cm wide. Dense, mid‑green foliage with slightly glossy leaves; moderately thorny stems and a naturally bushy outline suited to hedging and background planting.
Flower morphology
Medium-sized, cupped double flowers (about 26–39 petals) carried mostly in clusters. Non-remontant, producing a single, abundant summer flush rather than repeat blooms; weak self-cleaning, so spent heads may need removal.
