Bred by Dominique Massad in France from ‘New Dawn’ × ‘Graham Thomas’; developed by Roseraies Pierre Guillot, introduced 1997 after registration in 1996 from 1991 breeding work.
Growth and structure
Upright, bushy shrub reaching about 140–220 cm in height and spread, with dense, mid-green, slightly glossy foliage and moderate prickles, forming a substantial, structural garden plant.
Flower morphology
Large, double, cupped blooms with 26–39 petals, often 1–3 per stem; moderately domed centres; remontant with an abundant second flush, suitable for both garden display and cutting.
Colour and phenology
Overall off-white blooms with a very pale pink veil; buds cream-white flushed pink, opening ivory with creamy yellow–pink centre, then pure white, ageing to creamy tones and lightly browned petal edges in strong sun.
