Origin and breeding
Bred by Alain Meilland, Meilland International, France. Cross of ‘Meipalsar’ × (‘Korwest’ × ‘Circus’). Bred 1996, introduced and registered 1998, distributed by Meilland International.
Growth and structure
Climbing rose with upright habit and smaller climbing shoots. Height about 145–230 cm, spread 100–170 cm. Dense, slightly glossy medium-green foliage, densely prickled stems, forms a leafy vertical presence.
Flower morphology
Large, very full cupped blooms with 40+ petals, mostly solitary on stems. Remontant with abundant second flush, flower size roughly 2.75–3.95 inches, suitable for cutting and decorative use.
Colour and phenology
Warm golden-yellow base shaded with orange-red blush. Buds deep ochre-yellow with carmine tips, maturing to golden with salmon-pink margins. Colour may fade in strong sun, holding better in cooler conditions.
Fragrance and aroma
