Origin and breeding
Bred by Samuel Darragh McGredy IV, McGredy Roses International, New Zealand. Parentage ‘Yellow Eye’ × ‘New Penny’. Introduced and registered in 1978, with New Zealand plant variety protection application ROS061.
Growth and structure
Compact, bushy miniature with dense, glossy dark green foliage. Typical height 45–55 cm and spread 35–45 cm, moderately thorny shoots forming a regular low mound suitable for edging, containers and small-group planting.
Flower morphology
Small, double, cup-shaped blooms, 0.5–1.5 inches across, borne in clusters. Petal count 26–39, giving a refined, full appearance. Remontant, with a generous second flush and repeat flowering in suitable conditions.
