Bred by Jacques Mouchotte for Meilland International, France. Parentage: (MEIpalsar × Golden Showers) × Lichtkönigin Lucia. Introduced and registered in 1991 as a large-flowered climbing rose.
Growth and structure
Strong climbing habit, typically 240–380 cm high with 150–250 cm spread. Forms long, flexible canes with dense, dark green, glossy foliage and moderate prickliness; best shown when supported and tied in.
Flower morphology
Large, very double, cup-shaped blooms with 40+ petals, borne mainly solitary. Flower size in the 2.75–3.95 inch range. Remontant with an abundant second flush, especially with regular deadheading and feeding.
Colour and phenology
Warm peach flowers with creamy, paler edges; buds deep peach with a yellowish veil. Colour may fade and edges lighten in strong sun and heat. Pastel tones suit romantic, soft-coloured planting schemes.
