Vizantina™ Freska® – orange-white bedding floribunda rose
If You dream of a neat, colourful front garden without complicated routines, Vizantina™ Freska® is a cheerful, medium-height floribunda that fits beautifully into small Irish beds and borders. Its upright, bushy habit stays compact, so it will not overwhelm narrow paths or low windows, yet still covers the soil with dense, dark green foliage. Clusters of striped, orange-and-cream flowers appear repeatedly through the season, giving a lively marbled effect that looks carefully planned even in simple planting schemes. The discreet, clean fragrance is pleasantly subtle, so it works well near doors, driveways or seating where strong perfume might be too much. As an own-root plant it builds a durable, regenerating shrub that copes steadily over the years with Ireland’s often wet weather and heavy soil, provided drainage is sensibly managed. In containers it remains nicely orderly and easy to look after if You choose at least a 40–50 litre pot and keep watering regular. Plant once, then enjoy how the bush gradually becomes more balanced from year to year, with the first season focusing on roots, the second on framework shoots and the third bringing its full display of colour in Your garden.
VIZANTINA™ shows dense, dark green foliage with a matte finish.
Use cases
Target area
Reason
Front garden bed by the entrance
Medium height and upright habit create a clear, welcoming accent without blocking windows or views, making it ideal for tidy front garden beds beside paths and doorways, especially for the busy beginner
Low flowering hedge along a drive or path
Recommended hedge spacing and dense foliage allow a continuous, low hedge that reads as a single strip of marbled colour, giving structure and definition to drives and paths for the practical homeowner
Small group planting in a family garden border
Planting three to five shrubs at the suggested distances produces a coherent colour block that looks designed yet informal, ideal for family borders where You want impact with simple care for the time-poor gardener
Feature rose in a large patio container
Its compact, upright form adapts very well to pots of at least 40–50 litres, giving a long-season focal point on patios, balconies or terraces that stays manageable in watering and pruning for the urban balcony-owner
Mixed cottage-style border with perennials and grasses
The striped orange-and-cream blooms pair easily with soft grasses and cottage perennials, adding a playful accent that fits relaxed Irish rural styles without demanding intricate maintenance from the casual cottage-gardener
Ornamental edging in a small urban garden
Moderate spread and clear recommended spacing make it straightforward to create a neat edging line, especially in modest city plots where every metre counts and upkeep must stay minimal for the small-garden owner
Informal flowering corner near seating
Clusters of subtly scented blooms provide colour close to terraces or benches without overpowering fragrance, giving a gentle, relaxed backdrop that remains pleasant during everyday use for the comfort-seeking family
Reliable colour in exposed, wetter Irish sites
Hardiness and own-root vigour allow the shrub to settle reliably even where rainfall is high and heavier soils need reasonable drainage, supporting stable long-term planting for the weather-conscious gardener
Decorating ideas
Striped welcome border – Line a short front path with a row of Vizantina™ and low lavender; the compact, upright shrubs and repeating stripes form a cheerful, orderly entrance – ideal for busy homeowners who want fuss-free impact

Technical cultivar profile
Name and registration
Vizantina™ Freska® (registered as BOZvizfre) is a floribunda, medium shrub bedding rose from the Freska® collection, offered here as a pharmaROSA® ORIGINAL 2-litre own-root potted plant for garden use.
Origin and breeding
Bred by Biljana Bozanić Tanjga at PhenoGeno Roses (Serbia), with parentage not disclosed; breeding work was completed around 2019 and the variety was introduced to the market in 2020 for ornamental garden and exhibition use.
Growth and structure
Forms an upright, bushy shrub about 55–80 cm high and 50–75 cm wide, with dense, dark green, matt foliage and moderate prickliness; suitable for low hedging, borders and container cultivation in average family gardens.
Flower morphology
Bears medium-sized, double, cup-shaped blooms with approximately 20–30 petals, typically in corymbose clusters; remontant flowering provides an initial flush followed by a plentiful second wave under normal garden conditions.
Colour and phenology
Flowers open with vivid orange stripes and spots on a white background, then fade to pastel peach on a cream-white base while retaining a marbled pattern; overall colour retention is good, giving lasting decorative value through the season.
Fragrance and aroma
Exhibits a neutral, clean fragrance of subtle strength, noticeable only at close range; this makes the cultivar suitable near entrances, paths and seating areas where a discreet scent is preferred over strong perfume.
Rose hip characteristics
Forms rose hips in moderate quantities, usually small, around 0–8 mm in diameter; hips are not a primary ornamental feature but indicate successful flowering and pollination over the season.
Resistance and hardiness
Rated hardy to approximately −21 to −18 °C (H7, USDA zone 6b) and Swedish zone 3; disease resistance is moderate for powdery mildew, black spot and rust, so routine observation and occasional protection are recommended in humid areas.
Horticultural recommendations
Best in sunny positions with reasonably drained soil; spacing varies from about 45 cm for hedges to 90 cm as a specimen, with planting densities around 3.3–3.8 plants/m²; suitable for borders, edging and larger containers.
Vizantina™ balances compact, upright growth with eye-catching striped blooms and dependable repeat flowering, and as an own-root rose it forms a resilient, long-lived shrub, so You can plant with confidence and decide if it suits Your garden plans.

Information about the videos
The video series is not a “seasonal showcase”, but makes the essence of pharmaROSA® own-root production tangible: how the plant is built, what the root system is like and how the shoots renew themselves. The footage was therefore taken at different times, showing plants at different stages of development, so mixed leaf coverage or differing growth stages may appear in the videos. This is not a “sample” of the batch delivered, but an illustration of how the technology works. The current condition of the rose available to order — typical of the given period and similar to what you can expect to receive in the parcel — is shown at the top of the product page.
