Origin and breeding
Hybrid of ‘Friedrich Wörlein’ × ‘Circus’, bred by Reimer Kordes at W. Kordes’ Söhne, Germany. Bred in 1969, registered in 1976 and distributed internationally after 1976.
Awards and recognitions
Certificate of Merit and Fragrance Award at New Zealand Rose Trials (1973), ADR winner in German National Rose Trials (1974), and RHS Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society (1993).
Growth and structure
Vigorous, upright shrub with potential as a short climber. Typical height 170–240 cm, spread 150–210 cm, with dense, glossy dark green foliage and moderate prickliness on the canes.
